Your team
Hollard's Group Compliance Function (Group Compliance) forms part of the designated Line 2 Risk for the Hollard Insurance Companies and plays a key role in supporting the effective management of compliance risk, within Hollard's broader Risk Management Framework. As a part of the Group Compliance team, you will have the chance to work alongside highly experienced risk and compliance specialists in an interesting and fulfilling role, brimming with opportunities. Group Compliance currently has 3 teams:
The Compliance Incident Team (CIT) is responsible for providing specialist compliance incident management and assessing for reportability of matters to our Regulators.
The Compliance Oversight Team (COT) is responsible for specialist Compliance oversight and challenge in the management of compliance risks and maturity. The team is the first point of contact for Hollard's business and shared functions.
The Compliance Monitoring & Insights Team (MIT) is responsible for managing development of insight reporting, management of team tools, coordination of Frameworks and Compliance Training
Duties and responsibilities
R eporting to a Lead Compliance Principal within Group Compliance, you may work in one, or a combination of the functions listed above. Compliance professionals are transferable and flexible, as a requirement of the role.
Assisting with deep-dive thematic reviews and/or analysis to identify gaps in compliance or regulatory compliance issues.
Supporting and providing compliance advice on regulatory change projects (e.g., Privacy Act Review).
Co-ordinating and overseeing the compliance incident management process, including identifying and implementing opportunities to optimise the process.
Providing compliance advice, including on the effectiveness of compliance risk management at Hollard.
Provide services to business stakeholders to ensure compliance incidents are managed effectively, accurately and in a timely manner.
Supporting regulatory lodgements or responding to Regulator requests from ASIC, APRA, the OAIC and other organisations.
Providing any other support to your team to achieve the team's objectives, as required.
Knowledge and Experience
Demonstrated experience in a Line 2 compliance role or similar function.
Must have legal experience, or insurance and/or financial services compliance experience (General insurance strongly preferred).
Good working knowledge of the regulatory compliance landscape (APRA prudential standards, Corporations Act & Regulations, ASIC Act and Regulatory Guides, Insurance Contracts Act, and the GI Code of Practice).
Sound judgement with the ability to think critically and analytically and use data driven insights to solve problems is required.
Strong and proven compliance skills.
