We invite you to join one of our committed teams and thrive as you collaborate with bright minds while shaping WA's water future.Treatment & Resource Recovery has an opportunity for a Senior Technical Advisor – Water Treatment.This role will provide daily technical support to regional conventional water treatment plants operations across the state, collaborating with operations teams, and driving operational excellence through strong safety practices and innovative problem-solving.
The position is based in Osborne Park, with regular travel required to regional sites.You will value our working as one mindset with a strong safety culture, we deliver on our promises and find better solutions to any technical issues that arise at the treatment plants.Proposed start date 17th November 2025.What the role will involveLead remote and site-based support for operations of water treatment facilities including technical, scientific, or engineering investigations as well as design, and commissioning activities.Lead and contribute to the provision of specialist advice on design standards and operational requirements for new treatment plants.Lead and contribute to the development of treatment operations, processes, and technology to enhance operational outcomes.Perform routine review of plant performance against performance criteria.Manage team assets (laboratory equipment, instruments, corporate vehicles), including QAP testing and vehicle safety checks.Lead and contribute to relevant strategies, communicating recommendations through technical reports.Contribute to safety initiatives and take responsibility ensuring all works undertaken with safety as the priority.Key skills and experienceTertiary qualification in relevant scientific or engineering fieldConsiderable experience in conventional water treatment process design, operations, or troubleshootingProactive and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skillsOperations and maintenance and technical knowledgeHighly developed analytical and conceptual skillsBenefitsFlexible work optionsTwo well-being days each year to do whatever you need to feel goodAccess to long service leave pro rata after 3 years of serviceGenerous co-contribution superannuation scheme, up to 16%.
