Senior Water Treatment Advisor

We invite applications for a highly skilled Senior Water Treatment Advisor, who will provide daily technical support to regional conventional water treatment plants operations across the state.

This role requires collaboration with operations teams, driving operational excellence through strong safety practices and innovative problem-solving. The position is based in Osborne Park, with regular travel required to regional sites.

The successful candidate will value our working as one mindset with a strong safety culture, delivering on promises and finding better solutions to any technical issues that arise at the treatment plants.

About the Role

  • Lead remote and site-based support for operations of water treatment facilities including technical, scientific, or engineering investigations as well as design, and commissioning activities.
  • Provide specialist advice on design standards and operational requirements for new treatment plants.
  • Develop treatment operations, processes, and technology to enhance operational outcomes.
  • Review plant performance against performance criteria.
  • Manage team assets (laboratory equipment, instruments, corporate vehicles), including QAP testing and vehicle safety checks.
  • Contribute to relevant strategies, communicating recommendations through technical reports.
  • Take responsibility ensuring all works undertaken with safety as the priority.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
  • Considerable experience in conventional water treatment process design, operations, or troubleshooting.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Operations and maintenance and technical knowledge.
  • Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills.
