Job Title: Water Treatment Senior Technical Advisor

We are seeking a seasoned water treatment professional to join our team as a senior technical advisor. This role will provide daily technical support to regional conventional water treatment plants operations across the state, collaborating with operations teams and driving operational excellence through strong safety practices and innovative problem-solving.

The successful candidate will be based in Osborne Park, with regular travel required to regional sites. They will value our working as one mindset with a strong safety culture, delivering on our promises and finding better solutions to any technical issues that arise at the treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead remote and site-based support for operations of water treatment facilities, including technical, scientific or engineering investigations, design, and commissioning activities.
  • Provide specialist advice on design standards and operational requirements for new treatment plants.
  • Develop treatment operations, processes, and technology to enhance operational outcomes.
  • Review plant performance against performance criteria.
  • Manage team assets, including laboratory equipment, instruments, corporate vehicles, and ensuring QAP testing and vehicle safety checks are completed.
  • Communicate recommendations through technical reports.
  • Contribute to safety initiatives and prioritize safety in all works undertaken.
Requirements:
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant scientific or engineering field.
  • Considerable experience in conventional water treatment process design, operations, or troubleshooting.
  • A C Class driver's license.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Operations and maintenance and technical knowledge.
  • Highly developed analytical and conceptual skills.
