The Qantas Group Flight Training team play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our training equipment. As Coordinator Maintenance and Logistics, you will bring your passion for aviation and skill in managing complex maintenance operations to oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of flight training equipment, ensuring compliance with simulator manufacturer standards and operational requirements.

Your core responsibilities will include:

- Coordinate and allocate maintenance resources, including staff scheduling, leave management, and shift rosters
- Manage procurement, invoicing, parts inventory, and contractor coordination to support facility operations
- Address equipment-specific issues such as warranty claims and obsolescence, liaising with internal teams and external vendors to source goods and services
- Collaborate with simulator vendors to manage warranty repairs and uphold contractual obligations
- Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and business support databases to monitor equipment performance
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements
- Promote a safe working environment by monitoring WH&S practices and ensuring staff training needs are met
- Respond to changes in training device availability plans by adjusting support resources accordingly

You'll have
- Knowledge and experience with Simulator hardware and software components
- Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of CASA requirements relating to accreditation of Simulators
- The ability to ensure compliance with manufacturer's warranty and technical specifications
- Motivation and desire to identify and implement continual improvement strategies for the simulator maintenance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise and manage busy workload
