Junior Developer Position
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a skilled Junior Developer.
The selected candidate will be part of a small and dynamic group working closely with internal and external stakeholders to design and deliver innovative solutions across various cybersecurity objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop robust software platforms using Python and React to enhance the Cyber Security team.
Participate in consultations with stakeholders to identify business functions, objectives, and outputs.
Contribute to creating technical specifications for solutions.
Perform code reviews and analysis.
Work collaboratively with the team, engaging in regular verbal and written communication.
Conduct manual and automated software testing.
Provide support, documentation, and assistance in handing over software solutions to Business As Usual (BAU).
Recommend and assist in implementing, customizing, configuring, and supporting commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software and bespoke platforms.
Requirements:
Software development experience, proficient in one or more modern programming languages, especially Python and React.
Attention to detail, striving for high-quality code adhering to best practice/style guides promoting clean and readable code.
Security-minded individual with a passion for security by design and enabling security engineering as a concept.
Demonstrable interest in learning new languages, approaches, and methods.
Australian citizenship with Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance (Australian permanent residents or visa holders are not eligible).
Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate, train, and work with non-technical users.
