**About the role**:
The Accounting Assistant - AR & Credit Analyst is responsible for the finance order to cash processes for VEP, including maximising cash collection within the agreed payment terms and minimising bad debts, and providing credit support.

**Key responsibilities**
- Maximize cash collection, monitoring outstanding payments and liaising with Account Managers and customers to ensure collection within agreed terms.
- PPSR administration - ensure that all customers PPSR registration are current, to protect VEP's security interest in the event of customer default.
- Maximise cash collection, monitoring outstanding payments and liaising with Account Managers and customers to ensure collection within agreed terms.
- Perform customer credit assessment and administrative support, including data collection, external credit bureau requests and liaising with account managers for non-financial qualitative information.
- PPSR administration - ensure that all customers PPSR registration are current, to protect VEP's security interest in the event of customer default.
- Provide monthly compliance reports as required to credit insurance brokers.
- Maintain SAP credit limits on customer accounts, manage process of credit blocks and release within MOA requirements.
- Provide VEP customer cash receipt forecast to meet treasury requirements.
- Provide AR performance reporting updates in line with VEP's reporting requirements and stakeholder requests.
- Provide backup to other members of the finance & credit team as required.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Business and Finance is highly regarded.
- Work Experience:

- Broad experience in Accounts Receivable and Credit Management in a large listed organisation.
- Working knowledge of SAP ERP software with AR focus.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment to achieve a successful outcome
- Demonstrated problem solving experience.
- Willing to learn & be curious attitude.
- Working with others, team player, interfacing with other stakeholders.
- Customer focus, meeting and exceeding internal and external customer's expectations, maintaining effective relationships with customers.
- High level of problem solving.
- Effective communicator, high level of presentation and communication skills.
