About the Role:

As an Assistant Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting our accountants and partners across a broad range of client work. This is an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing a career in public practice who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and companies
  • Communicate with clients regarding documentation and queries
  • Stay up to date with relevant tax legislation and compliance changes
  • Provide support to senior accountants and partners as needed

What We're Looking For:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting (completed or near completion)
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, APS, or similar
  • Strong understanding of accounting and taxation principles
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work as part of a close-knit team
