Debating Convenor
to promote, organise, and lead debating across the School.
About the Role
Reporting to the
Coordinator of Extracurricular
and through to the
Deputy Principal and Principal
, you will:
Promote debating across the School, working closely with
Debating Captains
to build student leadership.
Coordinate inter-house debating, training schedules, trials, and competition logistics.
Communicate regularly with external debating associations, students, and parents.
Oversee debating events hosted at Loreto, including catering, room setup, and liaison with staff and external coordinators.
Ensure students and families have up-to-date information on schedules, results, and opportunities.
Write weekly articles and updates to celebrate student achievements and keep the community informed.
About You
You are enthusiastic about debating and bring:
Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with students, staff, parents, and external partners.
A commitment to student wellbeing, leadership development, and Catholic values in the Loreto tradition.
Willingness to attend evening debates and support events as part of the school community.
