About the Role

The Debating Convenor will facilitate and lead debating initiatives across the school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote debating activities, collaborating closely with student leaders to build their skills.
  • Coordinate inter-house debating events, training schedules, trials, and competition logistics.
  • Maintain regular communication with external debating associations, students, and parents.
  • Oversee debating events hosted at the school, including catering, room setup, and liaison with staff and external coordinators.
  • Ensure students and families have access to up-to-date information on schedules, results, and opportunities.
  • Write weekly articles and updates to celebrate student achievements and keep the community informed.
