Job Title: Debating Assistant

Ravenswood School for Girls is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney's North Shore. The school offers a range of academic programs, including the HSC and the IB Diploma Programme.

We are seeking a Debating Assistant to join our co-curricular team on a casual basis. Working closely with our Debating Convenor, this role will attend debates with our students each Friday afternoon and evening in Terms 1 and 2, and Tuesday afternoon and evening in Term 2 and 3.

The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience working with students, teachers, parents, and external parties in a school setting. They will be responsible for communicating with students, teachers, parents, and external parties, as well as using Microsoft Office suite and other web-based management applications.

  • Ability to follow debating competition rules and regulations whilst working within school procedures;
  • Experience communicating with students, teachers, parents, and external parties;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Experience participating in, coaching, or organizing debating in a school or other setting;
