**The Role**

This is an integral role reporting to the National Operations Manager, overseeing Australian Nationwide inbound operations, with a strong emphasis on international shipping, import and export customs clearance, Local Service Provider (LSP) and exceptional customer communication. The National Inbound Manager will drive Operational and KPI excellence, ensuring seamless Goods Receipt processes and high customer satisfaction, while cost-saving initiatives.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Commitment to Operational Excellence: Lead and optimise import and export processes, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Committed to KPI Excellence: Leading and taking ownership of KPI performance (weekly, monthly, yearly) to ensure consistent achievement of targets (e.g., GR KPIs: D+5 for Sea, D+2 for Air).
- Trade Documentation Compliance: Manage and verify import/export documents (e.g., invoices, packing lists, COOs, L/Cs), ensuring full adherence to customs, trade, and shipping regulations.
- Operational Excellence & Process Improvement: Proactively identify and implement process and costs optimizations and efficiency enhancements, driving continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., SOP development and refinement) to elevate operational performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including internal and external stakeholders, to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the inbound operation process.
- Customer Care & Communication: Serve as the primary liaison for clients, delivering exceptional support by promptly addressing inquiries, providing real-time shipment and Goods Receipts updates, and resolving issues efficiently to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Local service provider (LSP) management: Monitor LSP performance through KPIs such as on-time delivery, operation accuracy, and efficiency. - Develop processes to ensure exceptional service and accuracy for LSP services provided to customers. - Communication to set clear expectations and to ensure all requirements are met in the services provided.
- Team Leadership and Process Improvement: Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability and innovation. Optimise workflows through SOP implementation and cost-reduction strategies to maximise efficiency.

**To be successful in this position you need**:

- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in freight forwarding, with at least 5 years focused on international shipping, logistics, supply chain and 3PL management.
- Proven experience of managing multiple carriers (sea and air).
- Solid knowledge of international trade regulations, Incoterms, and customs compliance.
- Strong knowledge of ports, air and sea terminal operations.
- Strong knowledge of Biosecurity, Fumigation; Dangerous Goods handling.
- Strong knowledge of transportation, Chain of Responsibilities.
- Proven track record of implementing cost-saving initiatives in logistics operations.
- Proven performance managing LSP services and SLAs.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience managing customer relationships.
- Leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Customer-centric approach.
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in logistics software and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel).

Pay: Up to $130,000.00 per year
