**About the job**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Fitter to join our Tassal team.

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our machinery and equipment at our Huonville processing site. Reporting to the maintenance manager, this role will suit a proactive, hands-on enthusiastic person who takes pride in their work and sets themselves high standards. This role will have you completing preventative maintenance and breakdowns as necessary while with minimum down time always working towards continuous improvement.

This position is a Monday to Friday roster working the night shift and will participate in the On Call Roster. (Approx 6-week rotation)

Duties can include;
- Conducting regular maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults and breakdowns in machinery and equipment.
- Responding to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Ensuring all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Communicating with the production team to schedule maintenance work and minimize downtime.

***About you**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Qualified Maintenance Fitter with Electrical (or restricted electrical) license and Tarde Certificate.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter or similar role.
- Experience working within a production/processing environment, FMCG background desired.
- Refrigeration knowledge advantageous.
- Complete plant maintenance and upgrades.
- Respond to machinery breakdowns efficiently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Rights to work in Australia; and
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical and drug test.
