**About the job**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Officer to join our Tassal team.

As a Maintenance Officer at our Storm Bay zone in Nubeena, you will be spending a significant amount of time on the water. You will be responsible for responding to breakdowns and ensuring our resources and equipment are running smoothly with limited downtime with a positive and proactive attitude.

Reporting to the maintenance manager, this role will suit a proactive, hands-on enthusiastic person who takes pride in their work and sets themselves high standards. You will be exposed to a diverse and exciting range of duties, perfect for a self-motivated and technically minded individual.

Duties can include;
- Conducting regular maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure they are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Diagnosing and repairing faults and breakdowns in machinery and equipment.
- Responding to emergency breakdowns to minimize downtime.
- Ensuring all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Communicating with the wider business to schedule maintenance work and minimize downtime.

***About you**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Mechanical trade qualified or 3rd/4th year apprentice.
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Officer or similar role.
- Experience with Diesel mechanics, Automotive or Fabrication.
- Experience in 12V electrical, hydraulics, and welding will be advantageous.
- Proven experience in finding mechanical faults.
- Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements.

- Current drivers' licence.
- Strong communication skills.
- Rights to work in Australia; and
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical and drug test.
