Maintenance Electrician – Location Storm Bay Workshop Employment type Full time About the role We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our Engineering and Maintenance team.
This hands-on role is essential in supporting repairs and preventative maintenance across our net cleaning and ROV equipment, both on land and at sea.
You will be responsible for fault finding, maintaining a comprehensive range of spare parts and ensuring our vessels and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities Perform General Electric repairs and maintenance across plant, vessels and equipment Compete preventative maintenance schedules Manage and maintain net cleaning equipment, generators, sub boards, and voltage regulation systems Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults Ensure work meets specifications and quality standards Identify and mitigate hazards and WHS risks Participate in training and development activities Qualifications and experience Minimum 3 years post trade experience Australian 'A' Grade Electrical licence Current and valid drivers licence Proven ability to work autonomously and manage projects end to end Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) Excellent communication and stakeholder management Desirable Skills Mechanical knowledge Optical fibre experience Experience with DC/AC systems PLC programming, VSD's, gensets, AKVA FNC8's Coxswain certification or the ability to obtain Familiarity with Huon's policies and procedures Why Join Us This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic marine environment with cutting edge technology and a supportive team.
