Are you a skilled light vehicle or diesel mechanic looking for an exciting new challenge? We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Officer. In this role, you will primarily oversee the maintenance of our two harvest vessels, with occasional support for other vessels. You'll be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, working alongside vessel engineers and onshore support.

- Dynamic Environment: Travel between sites to carry out maintenance work and support ongoing projects.
- Location: Based at our Haywards site in Margate, Tasmania, working a 5/2 roster, 38 hours per week.
Your Week At a Glance
- Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: Regularly maintain vessels and equipment to prevent issues and address any that arise.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems to ensure peak performance.
- Site Travel: Visit various sites to conduct maintenance work and support project activities.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Spare Parts Management: Source and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability when needed.
What You Bring To The Table
- Mechanical and Hydraulic Aptitude: Strong skills in troubleshooting and maintaining mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Electrical Knowledge: Basic understanding of 12-24V electrical systems is preferred.
- Mobility: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between sites as required.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Team and Independent Work: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Safety Commitment: Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Welding and Fabrication: Proficiency in welding and fabrication skills.
