Energy Strategy and Procurement Lead
Drive the energy procurement strategy and execution across wholesale and retail contracts for a prominent data centre developer and operator. Develop and implement strategic plans to secure reliable and cost-effective energy supply.
Key Responsibilities:
Structure and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
Support infrastructure procurement by collaborating with engineering and finance teams to identify opportunities for improvement.
Provide market insights and risk management strategies to inform business decisions and mitigate potential losses.
Maintain relationships with energy partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
Requirements:
Strong experience in commercial energy markets, including retail, wholesale, generation, or renewables.
Deep understanding of energy contracting, hedging, and market pricing to optimise energy procurement.
Commercial acumen and negotiation skills to drive value and mitigate risk in energy deals.
Background in infrastructure or data centre sectors is highly desirable.
Stakeholder management experience across commercial and technical teams to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
