Join Our Team as a Renewable Energy Expert

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to lead our renewable energy grid linkage efforts.

Your key responsibilities will include managing grid connections, developing and maintaining framework agreements with Independent Connections Providers (ICPs) and equipment suppliers, and providing technical assistance to project managers.

You will be responsible for negotiating with Distribution Network Service Providers (DNSPs), Transmission Network Service Providers (TNSPs), and the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) to achieve timely results and ensure seamless connection management.

An ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of the Australian Grid in all states at both DNSP and TNSP levels and experience in negotiating legal and commercial aspects of connection contracts.

They should also possess commercial acumen and good networks across the TNSP and AEMO environment, as well as established relationships with DNSPs, TNSPs, and AEMO.

A degree in Electrical and/or Power Engineering is desirable, but not mandatory. We welcome applicants with relevant qualifications and working experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage grid connections and develop and maintain framework agreements with ICPs and equipment suppliers.
  • Negotiate with DNSPs, TNSPs, and AEMO to achieve timely results.
  • Provide technical assistance to project managers.
  • Develop standardised arrangements for grid connections that reduce installation time and cost while maintaining or improving plant performance.
  • Represent the Grid Department at Development Meetings, Delivery Meetings, and third-party stakeholder events as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of the Australian Grid in all states at both DNSP and TNSP levels.
  • Experience in negotiating legal and commercial aspects of connection contracts.
  • Commercial acumen and good networks across the TNSP and AEMO environment.
  • Established relationships with DNSPs, TNSPs, and AEMO.
  • Relevant qualifications and working experience.
