Overview

This is a key leadership role within our school community. As Deputy Principal, you will play a vital part in driving the success of our students and supporting their wellbeing.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader with a strong understanding of education and training practices, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

As Deputy Principal, you will work closely with our principal and leadership team to ensure the effective daily operation of the school. You will have a strong focus on behaviour support, student wellbeing and maintaining high-quality support systems.

Responsibilities will include coordinating student services, managing transitions, supporting behaviour intervention planning and embedding consistent evidence-based practice across classrooms.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leading in Behaviour Support and Student Wellbeing
  2. Contributing to Ongoing School Improvement in Curriculum Planning and Delivery
  3. Leading Differentiation of the Western Australian Curriculum

Experience with ABLEWA and SEN RTP, as well as embedding AAC strategies, would be highly desirable.

As Deputy Principal, you will also oversee key student support processes and work with teachers, education assistants, families and external service providers to meet individual needs.

Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, resilience and the ability to mentor staff are essential for this role.

  • Hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
  • Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before starting
  • Consent to a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit
