Deputy Principal – Education Support Role
Albany - Secondary Education Support Centre (ASESC) is a school that prioritizes student wellbeing and achievement. We strive to provide a safe, caring, and supportive environment where students can develop their social, emotional, and academic potential.
The Deputy Principal will play a key role in ensuring the effective daily operation of the school. This involves leading behaviour support and student wellbeing initiatives, contributing to ongoing school improvement in curriculum planning and delivery, and overseeing key student support processes.
Responsibilities include coordinating student services, managing transitions, supporting behaviour intervention planning, and embedding consistent, evidence-based practice across classrooms. A core priority is ensuring the school's Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) is implemented with fidelity across behavioural and social-emotional domains.

The Deputy Principal will work closely with teachers, education assistants, families, and external service providers to meet individual needs. Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to mentor staff are essential for success in this role.
