**About the Icon Cancer Foundation (ICF)**:
Icon Cancer Foundation was founded in 1990 as the Haematology & Oncology Clinics of Australia (HOCA) Research Centre, with a commitment to supporting the development of new and improved treatments for patients in our care via clinical trials. 30+ years later, our mission remains.
In 2018, clinical trials run through Icon Cancer Foundation became part of Icon Group, while the Foundation remains a not-for-profit health promoting charity. The Foundation plays a crucial role supporting our research operations at Icon as we continue to improve patient access to medications and emerging treatments through the promotion of investigator initiated clinical trials. Through fundraising and the generous donations received from our community, we're directly support patient programs and clinician initiated trials that focus on the needs of cancer patients across Australia to improve cancer treatments for people now and in the future.
**The Role**:
The Grants and Appeals Manager Icon Cancer Foundation (ICF) will develop and manage the ICF, with a key focus on fundraising and marketing strategies, in line with the ICF Strategic Plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) specified by the Board to ensure strategic growth. The purpose of this role is to lead the development of the ICF to drive fundraising and marketing, while ensuring alignment to the wider Icon Group marketing and communication strategy.
- Key Responsibilities_
- Lead the development and execution of opportunities to increase funding opportunities for ICF to ensure strategic growth, in line with the ICF strategic plan, and the national marketing and communication strategy.
- To achieve specific fundraising KPIs as agreed by the ICF Board with a minimum target of an additional $250,000 fundraising in the first year and year on year growth as agreed by the ICF Board and Executive Manager Research.
- Build and maintain new and existing industry partnerships and sponsorship in line with the ICF strategic plan, creating sustainable opportunities for reputation growth, and growth of ICF fundraising targets.
- Develop, manage, and monitor ICF collateral, campaign material and information to ensure alignment with the Group, the division, and ICF objectives.
- Engage executives and senior leaders to ensure ICF fundraising and marketing messaging hits the right audience, with the right message and call-to-action across all markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships within Marketing and Communication, efficiently utilising the expertise, content, and resources of the team to deliver strong fundraising outcomes.
**Skills and Experience**:
To be successful in this role, your skillset & experience would ideally include:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience in fundraising, sales, partnerships and/or sponsorships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to confidently support ICF in fundraising, marketing, communication and administration.
- Ability to identify and facilitate fundraising opportunities.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills and an understanding of different markets and how to interact with these audiences.
- Ability to effectively solve problems while ensuring service standards and commercial outcomes are not compromised.
