We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the APS6 Senior Program Officer position. The successful candidate will possess expertise in grant assessment and be able to collaborate with leading partners to enhance outcomes for people affected by cancer.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a national cancer control context, overseeing a portfolio of research grants/projects and ensuring delivery against program objectives and guidelines.

  • Assess and analyse grant reporting against guidelines and procedures.
  • Manage correspondence and relationships with grant recipients and funding partners.
  • Prepare briefs, reports and executive-level correspondence.
  • Work collaboratively to resolve complex issues and maintain accurate records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Previous experience in grants (essential).
  • Experience in health research or health-related programs (highly desirable).
  • Strong analytical skills, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to deliver results in a changing environment.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and a collaborative approach consistent with APS values.
