Cloud Solutions Position Overview
The primary responsibility of the Cloud Solutions Architect will be to design, deliver and optimize cloud-based solutions that drive business transformation. This includes selecting the appropriate Azure and SaaS-based services, ensuring compliance with governance and security standards, and driving measurable outcomes through solution effectiveness, adoption rates and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of cloud solutions from design to support.
Deliver robust, scalable and cost-effective architectural designs.
Develop governance frameworks for risk assessment and compliance.
Promote change within the organization and find innovative solutions.
Translate strategy into architecture plans with clear value outcomes.
Evaluate and recommend AI-driven cloud capabilities.
Conduct reviews to track outcomes against KPIs.
Communicate ideas clearly and balance different perspectives.
Mentor and upskill engineers and IT teams.
Contribute to the development of architecture standards.
Produce clear documentation, including solution blueprints and security designs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years in relevant technology roles.
Background in consulting and/or large corporate environments preferred.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, secure cloud solutions.
Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
Experience with Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, API Management), Azure AD and B2C, web and function apps.
Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and hybrid cloud environments.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SDLC, security frameworks and governance models.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Desire to investigate, implement and support new technologies.
A desire to learn, grow, network and mentor others.
