**About the Role**

The Reliability Engineering and Train Systems Manager leads a team of Reliability Principals, Train Services Engineering Professionals and a Graduate Engineer all providing support to Maintenance, Assets and Operations. This role is accountable for providing reliability support across all fleets operated by Pacific National, improving the safety and reliability of rollingstock, and reducing whole of life costs. This role will engage and manage a number of internal and external stakeholder relationships and be required to develop and deliver reliability engineering and condition monitoring solutions including advanced analytics to establish the condition and performance of current assets, and identify areas for improvement.

You will have strong communication and influencing skills to manage complex stakeholder partnerships and have an analytical and problem-solving focus. In addition, you will require:

- Experience working within Rail is highly regarded or experience within mining or oil and gas industries.
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronic). Postgraduate qualifications in Rolling Stock Engineering (desired).
- Extensive knowledge and experience in rolling stock performance, testing, technical details, and maintenance requirements.
- Extensive knowledge of condition monitoring systems, data analytics, strategy and vision for the development of solutions for the business.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in leading in teams of professionals providing technical and engineering services, with a focus on reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the business and progress complex works across multiple groups to completion.
- Demonstrated experience working on reliability improvement programs
