**Job description**

We are currently searching for disability support workers in the Logan and Brisbane area who also enjoys engaging with animals (dogs)

The role will be aimed at providing care to maximize the social, living and recreational skills of participant.

**Tasks may include, but are not limited to**:

- Assist participants to live as independently as possible in their own home and in the community, remove barriers and engage in a full life.
- Personal care including helping participants shower, getting dressed and performing daily activities etc.
- Providing social support to participants with disabilities and participants experiencing mental health.
- Assisting with housework duties.
- Supporting participants in the community.
- Providing therapy assistance to support the implementation of physical, speech, OT and psychological plans and strategies (as directed by their allied health teams).
- Supporting participants to develop and build self-confidence.
- Taking the participant and their dog on outings.

**You will need**:
*Certificate III in Individual Support (or currently undergoing studies) MINIMUM 12 MONTHS EXPERIENCE IN THE INDUSTRY.

*Current First Aid and CPR Certificates

*Current National Police Check

*NDIS Worker Screening Check

*Working with Children Check

*NDIS worker orientation module certificate of completion

*Valid Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with full comprehensive car insurance

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Weekends
- Public Holidays

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $31.76 - $33.96 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Public holidays
- Weekend availability

Work Location: In person
