The role Reporting to the Team Leader, Social and Digital Media, you will play an active role in crafting innovative strategies and campaigns to elevate health outcomes for consumers within Queensland's health system. Building and sustaining relationships with clients across Queensland Health, Health and Hospital Services (HHSs), and key stakeholders within the health sector will be a primary focus, along with providing expert advice on social and digital media strategy and delivery. Your responsibilities include researching, writing, and disseminating high-quality content supported by market research to drive positive behaviour change across diverse health topics. Proficiency in graphic design using tools like Adobe Illustrator and Canva is essential for creating visually captivating content across various social media channels.
You will take the lead in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating social and digital media outputs on platforms such as podcasts, electronic direct mail, short-form videos, and various social media channels. Active development and leveraging of partnerships with key stakeholders, especially those representing priority audience groups like First Nations, Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, and People with Disability, are critical components of this role. Additionally, you will contribute to crisis response communications during health-related emergencies, participate in an on-call roster, and positively contribute to team, branch, and organizational culture and staff engagement strategies. Adherence to human resource and financial management processes, as well as the values of the Queensland Public Service and Department of Health, is integral to fulfilling the responsibilities of this dynamic role.
The successful personTo excel in this position, you should have proven experience in successfully executing substantial or intricate communication, media, or engagement projects within specified budgets and timelines. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, demonstrating your capacity to collaborate, forge and sustain effective professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Additionally, your contemporary knowledge of social and digital media platforms and products, coupled with the aptitude to formulate successful strategies for leveraging new media to advance organizational objectives, is crucial.
Furthermore, you should possess adept project management skills, showcasing your ability to meticulously plan and oversee the delivery of multiple competing priorities. Sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in a communication or project management context, are expected. Your track record should also reflect a collaborative approach, contributing positively to team culture, while maintaining a customer service mindset and actively supporting colleagues for collective success.
