The Director, Legal provides expert advice to senior stakeholders, leads the development and implementation of RHSQ's legal strategy and systems for managing its legal risks, and directs the legal functions across RSHQ.The successful candidate should demonstrate :Financial stewardshipEfficiently managing team resources and prioritising workloads to deliver outcomesExperience working with diverse stakeholders on a range of complex issuesAs Director, Legal, the role is responsible for :Providing expert legal advice to Senior Executives and internal stakeholders to facilitate management and resolution of a diverse range of legal, regulatory and compliance matters impacting RSHQ's capacity to achieve its strategic goalsLeading RSHQ's legal function, including providing leadership and guidance to our small teamEffectively managing service delivery, including productive relationships with external legal providers and advisers and ensuring quality of service deliveryKeeping abreast of contemporary legal advancements and developing innovative legal options in response to challenging operational requirementsAssessing and responding to the impact of changes in the operating environment on relevant legislation, legal, policy and regulatory frameworks to ensure a high level of integration with the broader context, including RSHQ's strategic goals and role within governmentLeading RSHQ's legal team in providing expert legal servicesManaging external provider relationships and outputsDegree qualifications in law and admission as a legal practitioner eligible to practice in Queensland are essential.The role description will outline any qualifications, licences and specific requirements of the role.
