**Position Purpose**:
Responsible for delivering a business-led quality and safety culture; improving the performance of Ausconnex, our customers and our suppliers.

**Key deliverables**:

- Drive our Opportunity & Risk Management Framework and in turn maintain our 'ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety', 'ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems' and 'ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems' and 'Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner' accreditations
- Maintain the licencing requirements of Ausconnex and its workers, including the accreditation of staff in new markets
- Maintain an audit programme providing internal verification of controls and performance
- Provide operational support attending customer meetings, conducting audits, contributing to project documentation, reviewing contractor documents and responding to customer requirements
- Contribute to improvements in the performance and management systems of our customers and suppliers
- Contribute to the sales process and tender submissions
- Drive the adoption of technology and contribute to the ongoing development of Ausconnex's technology strategy
- Prepare and deliver high participation workshops and safety days
- Develop and maintain measures communicating our performance, produce and ensure that monthly reports are understood and used as a tool by our teams
- Ensure that reported events across each hazard area are reviewed and completed via a structured and well communicated process

**About you**:
You are a proactive and results-driven professional with a strong foundation in health, safety, and environmental management. With proven experience in developing and leading safety and environmental systems, you bring a deep understanding of incident investigation methodologies

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrable experience establishing and leading safety and environmental management systems
- Incident investigation using iCAM and 5 Why methodologies
- Able to develop complex relationships
- Commitment to organisational learning
- Inquisitive nature
- Driven to deliver results
- Tertiary qualification in management, health, safety or engineering
- Driver's licence to allow for travel between locations
- Experience in Lean management desirable
