**The Department**

Alfred Health Support Services provides non-clinical support services across Alfred Health, these services include cleaning services, car parking and fleet management, waste management, gardens and grounds, distribution, security and access control, ward support, linen services, ancillary services, food services and hospitality.

**The Role**

The Menu Monitor provides friendly, attentive and efficient service to Alfred Health patients. The role is responsible for supporting patients with their menu orders and preparing tray labels to meet or exceed expectations of all patients.

**Qualifications and Experience Required**
- Essential_
- Current certification in food handling/food safety or willingness to obtain
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with people from different backgrounds
- Experience/knowledge of therapeutic diets and allergen free diets
- Ability to work closely with dietitians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient dietary requirements are met
- Proficiency in using computer systems for on-line order processing
- Desirable_
- Previous experience in a food service or similar position
- Previous experience with food management software
