You will support a team of Technology Assurance Managers and work in partnership with the business to identify, assess and evaluate risks related to Sky's technology and service offerings."_ - Director of Group Tech Assurance
What you'll do:
- Support the wider TRA and Technology teams and management in delivering tailored and timely assurance
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to advocate and encourage secure operating practices and risk governance
- Undertake technology and process specific assessments, investigations and research to help provide deep insight and understanding into risks and opportunities
- Contribute to and participate in a broad spectrum of technical and risk focused assessments and proactively support the remediation of identified issues
- Analyse the results of assessments carried out, ratify findings, contribute to the formulation of conclusions and help prepare written recommendations
- Build and foster relationships with key individuals and decision makers
- Play a proactive part in initiating and delivering agreed initiatives to achieve continuous improvement
- Feed your curiosity by keeping up to date on relevant technical and digital developments and the associated regulatory and statutory environment
What you'll bring:
- Real passion for the digital age and the use of technology as an enabler
- Some experience within IT audit, IT security and/or IT operations or technology process assurance coupled with a good dose of curiosity and a passion to help colleagues and make technology better
- Desire to work in an assurance role if you have not yet done so but have cut your professional teeth within a security operations centre or by working as part of a technical support team
- Understanding of the principles of risks and threats and you are comfortable asking challenging and sometimes uncomfortable questions to understand what could go wrong in a process or service you are assessing
- The will to learn more about threat analysis, information security and project delivery governance as well as about new things and ways of working
- Passion motivating you to make a difference and helping colleagues to do a great job
- Basic understanding of network and communication hardware, including routers and firewalls, data storage technologies and cloud services
