About the Role

As a seasoned Automation Tester, you will be working closely with business analysts to define acceptance criteria for each user story and translate these into cucumber tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain BDD testing frameworks developed using Java, Cucumber, Specs2 and Gradle
  • Perform exhaustive testing of RESTful APIs, including security testing and exploratory testing
  • Manage and maintain QA environments and implement continuous integration testing with Jenkins
  • Collaborate with developers to resolve issues, bugs and real-time production issues
  • Demonstrate ownership and responsibility by making commitments to the team about what you will achieve and communicate honestly about what has been achieved

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience testing large enterprise systems with complex architecture and extensive experience of automated testing of RESTful APIs using Java and Cucumber
  • Knowledge of API testing, including RESTful web services, RestTemplate in Spring, Restassured, JSON Path, and BDD testing frameworks
  • Experience in unit testing, including AssertJ, Hamcrest, and JSON data parsing/processing
  • Knowledge of Gradle build tool and continuous integration build tools, including Jenkins
  • Performance testing experience, including Jmeter and Gatling
  • Software deployment experience, including AWS and Kubernetes
