Let's talk about you

As our Employee Relations Advisor you will be part of our centralised People Services team providing expert advice to our leaders in relation to employment legislation and Employee Relations matters. To be successful you will possess:
- Proven experience as an HR Advisor, Employee Relations Specialist, or similar role, preferably in Australia.- Excellent planning and organisational skills.- Experience of managing Employee Relations cases, ideally experience of investigations and complex cases.- Knowledge of People and Culture environment and a strong understanding of policies and practices.- Sound knowledge of Australian employment laws and regulations. Demonstrated experience in interpreting case law, People policies and an interest in changing legislation.- An unequivocal commitment to the Aussie values and using them to make decisions.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.- Effective questioning and listening skills.

How will you support our "Why?"

As our Employee Relations Advisor you will play a key role in our People Servies team, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert advice and guidance on complex employment matters, including underperformance, conduct matters, terminations, investigations. In addition, providing support to our WHS Team with return-to-work programs, dispute resolutions, & employee rehabilitation.- Managing and resolving employee relations issues through effective mediation and conflict resolution efforts.- Coaching and equipping leaders with the skills necessary to handle employee relations matters effectively, minimizing escalations to the People & Culture (P&C) team. This may include coordinating and facilitating training sessions.- Collaborating with colleagues across People & Culture to identify emerging trends and potential risks, contributing to proactive action plans that help improve the employee experience.- Leading investigations and work with our Partnering Team to provide insights to leaders once the process has concluded.- Effectively tracking and reporting on ongoing cases, providing valuable insights for decision-making and utilisation of data to identify trends patterns across different departments.- Monitoring the external landscape to effectively, provide insight and articulation of the changing legislative landscape to the business and senior leaders.- Supporting the continuous improvement of Aussie's People policy framework and processes to ensure they remain current and effective. In addition, playing a role to ensure compliance and adherence.- Championing a culture of risk-based decision-making
