Dejavu Cafe & Bar Pty Ltd (ABN **************) Is a busy cafe located in Mooloolaba, QLD 4557.
We are looking for a passionate and creative Chef to join our team.
The position is full time and permanent.Applicants must hold the relevant qualifications/ experience :·AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2)·Have at least 1 year of full-time work experience in the nominated occupationApplicants are required to undertake the below duties and responsibilities:·Plan menus with Owner/Manager, including daily specials, menus for functions, special occasions, or catering (if required).
·Demonstrate cooking techniques and assign cooking duties to kitchen staff.
Discuss and resolve the food complaints efficiently with the kitchen and wait staff.
·Prepare and cook food according to the menu and meeting special dietary requirements, including sauces, desserts, etc.
·Estimate product requirement and costs for following day and on weekly basis.
Ensure appropriate regulatory licences are up to date ie Food Safety Supervisor.
·Arrange for the input of invoices for inventory and stock control.
Supervise and prepare roster for the kitchen staff.
Monitor all stages of preparation and presentation ofthe dishes.
·Ensure food prepared in the kitchen is of highest possible quality and standards.
Proper check and maintenance of all kitchen equipment and regular audits of temperature controlled facilities.
·Regulating temperatures on ovens, grills and other cooking equipment in thekitchen.
Has a full operational knowledge of all recipes, standards, portion sizes and presentation style of dishes produced within the kitchen.
·Ensure the freshness and quality of ingredients.
