Valeo Construction Group is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Part-Time Safety Officer to join our growing OHS team.
This role is based at our South Melbourne headquarters, with regular site visits across our project locations.
Working three days per week, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving our safety systems, while receiving mentorship and development opportunities in a supportive environment.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation and continuous improvement of OHS management systemsConduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company standardsAssist in preparing for and participating in Federal Safety Commission (FSC) auditsMaintain accurate and up-to-date safety documentation, registers, and incident recordsWork closely with project and site teams to foster a proactive safety cultureAssist with incident investigations and follow-up actionsDesired Skills and ExperienceAbout YouExperience in a safety-focused role, ideally within construction or a related high-risk industryAuditing experience highly valued, especially in relation to FSC auditsSound knowledge of federal safety accreditation requirements (OFSC/FSC) is highly desirableExcellent administrative skills and a keen eye for detailStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work autonomously and manage competing prioritiesCurrent driver's licence and willingness to travel to site locations regularlyWhat We OfferOffice base in South Melbourne with site visitation requiredHands-on mentorship and professional developmentOpportunity to work with a progressive and safety-focused construction groupInterested?
