This position is based at our Head Office in Gladstone, Queensland.Immediate startThis position will assist the accounting team with the financial and project accounting and providing additional support for the payroll and accounts payable functions as directed.
This position will ensure transactional accounting activities are regularly updated to ensure the general ledger and sub ledgers are complete and accurate.To be successful you will have:Degree in commerce, finance, accounting or business or studying towards (desirable)Minimum 2 years of experience in accounts, payroll, or accountingKnowledge of accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and associated practicesExperience in managing and applying finance, accounts and/or payroll processesAble to liaise, mediate and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholdersExperience providing guidance to operational personnel in accounts and payroll practicesKnowledge of the civil construction industry (desirable)Able to develop, implement, and evaluate high quality programsExperience in MS Office and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems such as Viewpoint Vista or similar (intermediate)About you:Critical analysis and problem-solving skillsUse of confidentiality, and discretion when dealing with peopleAble to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholdersSelf-motivated in the completion of tasksAble to manage time effectively, using strong organisational skillsCapable of accurate, detailed workLead by example, acting ethically and with integrityTreat all people with respectDesire to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve goalsActively comply with legislation and related policies, procedures, and processesPerform tasks only when competent to do so under the circumstancesCommunicate effectively and maintain a positive imageJoin the McCosker teamAt McCosker we are focused on developing our workforce, giving back to the community and safeguarding our natural environment.
