This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance within a complex and fast-paced business environment.
Key Responsibilities Include:Collaborate effectively within a team environment while also demonstrating the ability to work independentlyEnsure all activities are conducted in compliance with site health, safety, environmental, and community standardsProvide timely and accurate financial support to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deadlines and audit requirementsAssist in cash management, treasury and tax compliance processesSupport the financial management of capital projects throughout their lifecycleWork with data to support decision making, financial modelling and performanceGain exposure to inventory management, procurement processes, and sourcing strategiesDevelop a comprehensive understanding of QAL's operational processes, plant systems, and safety proceduresWhat You Will BringTo be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or equivalent), completed within the past 12 monthsA strong commitment to safety—for yourself and those around youSolid understanding of business, finance, and accounting principlesFamiliarity with Australian Accounting StandardsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvementA willingness to tackle challenges and find creative, practical solutionsStrong organisational skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlinesA process-driven approach, with an eye for identifying efficiencies and improving accuracyWhat's On OfferAt QAL, we understand that work is just one part of life.
