**About the role**
We have created a new position for an experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our growing head office function to support the training, professional and leadership development needs of the business. Reporting to our HR Manager this person will:
- Review, enhance and expand our suite of induction, training, professional and leadership knowledge base.
- Develop processes and mechanisms to identify learning and development requirements in our stores and head office.
- Design, plan, schedule and (where necessary) facilitate adult learning programs, workshops, demonstrations and conferences, both online and in person.
- Assist with the implementation of new a LMS system and digital tools to enable remote and self-guided online learning experience.
- Assess the quality of training and delivery, reporting outcomes and progress to management.
Whilst this is a stand-alone position, our expanding head office currently has the internal capabilities to support this position with administration, graphic design and other SMEs for content development.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced L&D professional to take the next step in their journey towards becoming a Learning & Development Manager.
**About the person**
We're looking for someone who is passionate about adult education and developing leading practice solutions to meet the needs of diverse learners and improve organisational effectiveness. The preferred applicant will have a:
- Bachelor degree involving studies in adult education, psychology and/or HRM.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- 3-5 years of experience working in an L&D team or a position substantially involving L&D responsibilities.
- Preferably experience in either retail, hospitality or health care sectors.
- Exceptional oral or written communication skills.
- Experience with LMS platforms and online learning programs.
- Strong attention to detail and Excel or Google Sheet experience.
