In this hands-on position, you'll be responsible for transporting essential materials to and from worksites while upholding the highest standards of safety, precision, and compliance.What You'll Do:Ensure timely and secure transport of materials across City worksites, following all operational guidelines and policiesPerform precision measurements and interpret single-dimensional plans to support quality control and project accuracyOperate City vehicles, plant, and equipment with professionalism, meeting all legal and safety requirements-including proper loading proceduresIdentify and locate underground services to prevent conflicts and ensure smooth project executionReport maintenance needs for vehicles and equipment to the Supervisor of Engineering Construction, helping us maintain top-tier operational standardsWhat we are looking forApplicants should be able to demonstrate:Substantial experience operating a front-end loader in a similar environment delivering quality and desirable service levels in the context of the position requirements.Demonstrate an ability to contribute and apply analytical and problem-solving skills in matters relating to road construction.Proven ability to prioritise and monitor personal workload with minimal supervision to achieve agreed outcomes within specified timeframes.Ability to work effectively as a team member, exercising initiative and judgement whilst working with minimal supervision.Current MR class driver's licenceWhite CardLoader Operators ticketCurrent National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but may be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.In return we can offer youA competitive salary and additional superannuation contributionsOpportunities to grow your skills and careerA supportive and forward-thinking work environment where your contributions shape the community's future.Human Resources can be contacted on for any questions.Applications close at 4pm on Thursday 4 September 2025.The City of Gosnells embraces diversity and encourages applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people from culturally diverse backgrounds, young people and people with disability.
