Our City Works Road Construction team seeks a self-motivated, hardworking, and experienced individual for the position of Loader Operator. The role involves undertaking construction and maintenance of the City's roads, drainage, and shared paths infrastructure safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, meeting quality standards.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Experience in road, drainage, and shared path construction
• Practical experience with the safe operation of road construction equipment
• Current unrestricted HR-B (Heavy Rigid) class national driver's licence (minimum)
• Loader Operator's Accreditation Certificate
• Current Construction White Card
• Roller Operator's Accreditation Certificate
• Excellent observation and concentration skills
• Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret plans, operating procedures, and safety instructions accurately
• Be a team player

The finer details

This permanent full-time Level 3 position offers a salary range of $72,795 to $75,503 gross per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. The recruitment process includes a full pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing.
