**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Cumberland City Council operates 14 Education and Care centres across the Local Government Area, educating and caring for children from birth to thirteen (0-13) years of age.
We have an exciting opportunity within our Education and Care Team for a passionate, qualified person to join us in the Team Leader - OOSH role.
Reporting to the Centre Director OOSH, you will lead the planning and implementation of an innovative and educational program for children, providing a warm and caring environment that enriches and enhances the children's lives and compliments their families' beliefs. You will be passionate about empowering today's children to become tomorrow's future and step in as the Responsible Person of the centre in the Centre Director's absence.
We are looking for someone who is committed to educating and nurturing children from all communities, teaching children to be respectful, resilient and confident by providing an environment that is accepting, safe and inspiring.
The successful applicant will require:
- Relevant qualifications in an education and care related discipline (or working towards with completion within 12 months) or equivalent experience in a similar role
- Valid Working with Children Check Clearance Number
- Child Protection course approved by the NSW Regulatory Authority (s162A Education and Care Services National Law) (or willing to obtain)
- Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Certificate as approved by ACECQA (or willing to obtain)
- Completion of Food Handler/Safety Training (or willing to obtain)
- Current class C drivers licence
- Proven comprehensive knowledge, skills and experience in education and care, delivery of a high quality curriculum, leading change in education, high level leadership skills, willingness to learn and be part of a team, communication skills in written and oral format, computer operating systems and effective time management and organisational skill
- A solid understanding of relevant legislation and National Quality Framework

**Position information**: This is a term contract, part-time position, working 30 hours per week with rostered hours of work between 6:30am to 6:00pm, and will include split shifts. This role may be required to work across any of Council's 14 Education and Care centre locations.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 8 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $35.31 to $40.60 per hour, plus 10.5% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role.
