ING, Australia's most recommended bank for the 3rd year running is looking for a **Reconciliations Officer**, who displays strong work ethic and understanding of risk & controls, who has the ability to adapt to change, work in a fast pace environment and be able to take ownership and responsibility of their work.

You'll be reconciling and clearing assigned transactions processed through various clearing systems. You'll also be investigating, following up on outstanding/uncleared items, creating and transmitting return and refusal files in accordance with industry procedures or ensuring transactions are promptly processed to customers' accounts.

**What are you going to do? You will be**
- Investigating and resolving a variety of Reconciliation Breaks on a daily basis. These include (but are not limited to) Reconciliation of CS1 (Paper Transactions), CS2 (Electronic Transactions), CS3 (Card Transactions) and CS4 (High Value Transactions) as well as reconciling internal banking ledgers and Nostro Accounts (EUR and USD).
- Clearing transactions in accordance with industry and internal procedures ensuring transactions are promptly processed to the customers' accounts or journal to the appropriate ledger account.
- Ensuring daily return files, processing forms and journals are completed in within agreed service levels
- Investigating and resolving all outstanding items within 3 business days and provide an analysis of items greater than 3 business days.
- Weekly Reconciliation Breaks reporting to key stakeholders and monthly reporting to Financial Control
- Completing regulatory statistics and reporting obligations

**What are we looking for? Someone who has**
- 2-3+years' experience in the banking industry ideally with 1-2 years' experience in a reconciliation role
- Intermediate MS Word and Excel
- Strong problem analytical skills
- Good communication skills
- Attention to detail
