We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic leader to join our secondary school community.
Reporting to the Head of Secondary, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Educator in Learning Support to oversee a team of Educators and take responsibility for the inclusion of students with disability and additional learning needs from Year 7 to Year 12.
The successful applicant will have: A willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the St Mary MacKillop College community.
A relevant teaching qualification, as well as post graduate qualifications in Special Educational Needs.
Current Teachers Registration.
Current Working with Children Check and valid Criminal Check.
We are seeking someone that: Wholeheartedly embraces the culture and the vision of the College.
Shows initiative, works independently and contributes to the management of a dynamic Learning Support team.
Gives assistance to staff, families and students in supporting Students with Disability and/or Learning Difficulties throughout the Secondary Campus.
Has a positive, compassionate nature with highly effective written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills.
Possesses excellent leadership and organisational skills, coupled with previous experience in a leadership position is highly desirable.
Will monitor, assess and report on student outcomes in accordance with students Individual Educational Plans.
Maintains confidentiality regarding all aspects of College students, staff, procedures and practices.
Possesses a working understanding of the legislative requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) and the Disability Standards for Education (2005).
