Capecare is recognised as a leading provider of aged care and accommodation services for seniors across the South-West region of Western Australia. Located in Busselton and Dunsborough on the shores of Geographe Bay, Capecare delivers an outstanding model of care for clients and families.
About the role: Capecare is seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead our hospitality team in providing exceptional meal services to residents at our 110-bed Busselton facility. Reporting to the Hospitality Services Manager, you'll craft nutritious, high-quality meals tailored to the dietary, cultural, and medical needs of residents, and lead daily operations, uphold food safety standards, manage stock and budgets, and foster a positive team culture. This role offers a full-time roster with minimal after-hours requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver exceptional food services to residents while ensuring a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.
- Oversee key compliance activities related to food safety, workplace health and safety, and quality standards.
- Manage stock control and kitchen supplies.
- Oversee dietary management to ensure meals meet residents' needs and requirements.
- Manage food and kitchen costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Provide leadership, training, guidance, and support to kitchen staff, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

About You- Previous experience as a Catering Manager or Head Chef.
- Experience in an Aged Care setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong people management experience, including recruitment, performance management, and rostering.
- Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety practices in line with aged care standards.
- Familiar with diverse dietary needs, especially those of the elderly.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team within a fast-paced environment.
