Forensic Science Specialist
The position of Forensic Science Specialist is available in a leading forensic biology and DNA analysis unit.
About the Opportunity
We seek an expert professional with advanced knowledge and experience in forensic biology and DNA analysis to provide high-quality test results and certificates.
Key Responsibilities
Apply advanced scientific knowledge and experience to ensure accurate, timely, and customer-focused provision of tests and reports in a NATA accredited unit.
Develop and implement effective workflow management strategies to meet performance targets within specified timeframes while maintaining high quality standards.
Provide expert certificates with varying levels of complexity, ensuring the accurate and timely provision of tests and reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
A Bachelor Degree or higher degree in Science or Applied Science with a major relevant to forensic biology/DNA analysis.
Demonstrated extensive experience or knowledge in methods, instrumentation, and emerging technologies relevant to the field of forensic biology, gained in an accredited laboratory or relevant environment.
Demonstrated ability to monitor and prioritise workflow effectively to ensure unit objectives and performance targets are met within specified timeframes while maintaining high quality standards.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information to various stakeholders.
