**What you will do**

This role manages a team of Operations engineers to provision and maintain SAP Cloud solutions, and builds strategic partnerships with internal decision makers, ensuring business critical & innovative outcomes are successfully achieved.

As a people manager, you are responsible for supporting the success of not only your direct reports, but the success of all employees within the larger team you are a part of by helping to identify development opportunities and supporting team members to achieve their goals. You are expected to know about the members of your extended team and share insights with your manager. Look for opportunities to coach and recognize employees directly and provide just-in-time feedback so that employees can reflect on your input immediately.

- Regularly applies expertise in day-to-day activities.

Experience
- Knowledge and experience of working with the Australian Security Standards - ISM, PSPF, and DSPF
- Sound professional experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality.
- Acts with sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and political awareness. Demonstrates all management responsibilities: create the future; build a team; develop people; manage performance.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to identify risks, anticipate challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles with mitigations and contingencies.

Communication
- Encourages and develops team to cooperate and to freely express their opinions.
- Formulates clear objectives and strategies and work assignments
- Communicates unpleasant messages in a timely and constructive manner to team
- Listens openly and attentively to fully understand ideas and opinions within the team

Experience & Language Requirements
- Strong computing skills, oriented towards a particular product or group of products
- Understanding of client specific business processes
- Experience in working with cross-cultural teams or individuals
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams
- General IT backend technology experience
- Escalation handling
- General IT knowledge on different technical areas (backend, frontend, networking, etc.)
- Fluent English

Education
- Master Degree or equivalents in Business Administration, Computer Science, Technical Engineering, Economics or related field

- Is a cloud offering designed to deliver SAP Intelligent Enterprise cloud solutions within the sovereign boundary of Australia.
- Aligns to the Australia / New Zealand Public Sector and Critical Infrastructure requirements.
- Adheres to the information security protection requirements consistent with the PSPF and ISM controls for PROTECTED information.

- Must be an Australian citizen and must either hold or be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance. _You can go to AGSVA website to review the Vetting Assessment Process you may need to go through and documents you may need to provide for the Australia Government Security Clearance.
