Pronto Cloud is part of Pronto Software based in Forest Hill VIC and is responsible for delivering IaaS, PaaS & SaaS to support enterprise solutions including the Pronto Xi ERP to our customers.
We operate in a virtualised environment built around VMWare, Linux and Windows.
Pronto Cloud performs various services for our customers either in our private cloud environment across five datacentres or as a management service for our on-premises customers.
What you'd be doing:
The DevOps Manager is a strategic and hands-on leader role that will oversee a high-performing team of engineers, sets the vision for automation, reliability, and scalability, and ensures continuous improvement in software delivery and infrastructure operations.
The DevOps Manager plays a critical role in aligning technology operations with business goals, ensuring high availability of services, and enabling rapid and secure deployment of applications.
DevOps Manager role details (your day would look like this): Provide strategic direction and leadership to the DevOps team, aligning efforts with broader business and technology objectives.
Define and drive the adoption of DevOps practices, tools, and culture across Pronto Software engineering and operations teams.
Act as the principal advisor to senior leadership on DevOps strategy, capability development, and risk mitigation.
Define team goals, manage performance, and oversee hiring, onboarding and professional development.
Oversee the design, implementation, and optimisation of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
Drive continuous integration, delivery, and deployment strategies that enhance speed and reliability.
Implement and monitor robust SRE practices to ensure system performance, reliability, and scalability.
Partner closely with Software Development, Security, Infrastructure, and Product teams to align DevOps capabilities with business needs.
Lead technical reviews and provide expert guidance on Cloud architecture, tooling, and deployment strategies.
Champion security-first principles, embedding DevSecOps practices in all DevOps processes.
