**We are currently looking for an Product Stewardship & Regulatory Specialist to join us at our facility in Sydney-Marsden Park, Australia.**

A fantastic opportunity exists for an experienced Product Stewardship and Regulatory Specialist to join our team at Marsden Park on a 12 month parental leave, fixed term contract.

Working from our head office you will be responsible for ensuring product regulatory compliance and business right to operate through focus on existing and emerging regulatory topics with the objective of understanding and communicating the potential impact on our business.

To be successful in this role you will require experience in substance registration regulations, substance use restrictions, substance management requirements, hazard communications and classifications.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Support new chemical substance registrations under AICIS for Australia and the required new chemical/product notifications for New Zealand
- Conduct new chemical assessment/categorization and fulfill pre-introduction reporting, post-introduction declaration obligations under Australia AICIS scheme
- Working with the designated team members within Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs function to ensure:
a. Compliant SDS are created for all products marketed in Australia/New Zealand, following applicable local Rules/Standards/Code of Practices

b. Support is provided to operations related to product label regulatory content for Australia/New Zealand

c. Support is provided to sales and marketing related to access/distribution of SDS
- Timely support to the new product introduction process (FSOP) to ensure the regulatory compliance review is completed prior to the product introduction to Australia/New Zealand, including but not limited to chemical registrations, SDS & label creations, Banned & Restricted chemical controls, etc.
- Support the timely response to the customer inquiries on regulatory compliance of our products supplied to them
- Support in reviewing new/emerging regulations for Australia/New Zealand and conducting impact analysis for local businesses
- Conduct regular training to business to ensure that product stewardship & regulatory processes are followed by Australia/New Zealand businesses

**Key requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or equivalent
- Minimum three years' experiences in product stewardship/regulatory affairs function in chemical industry, preferably in a multinational corporate environment
- Practical experiences in interpreting product regulatory requirements for Australia/New Zealand
- Knowledge and experience assigning GHS classification
- Knowledge and experience in SDS and label authoring/preparation
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills
- Customer-focused, result-oriented and be able to work under pressure.
- Resourceful, high-energy and be able to work independently
