**About the role**

A Team Leader opportunity exists for an experienced Cook to work within our Amaroo Aged Care Service. You will be a master at multi-tasking with your main area of responsibility being the preparation of high quality, nutritious meals for our residents with special dietary requirements.

Sharing your hospitality experience and compassionate, patient nature, you will actively contribute to establishing high standards of customer service to our residents and participate in continuous improvement.

The** **Hospitality Team Leader** **is responsible for:

- Coordinating and participating in meal preparation and presentation, ensuring our menu meets the dietary requirements of residents;
- Ensuring all kitchen and cleaning equipment is kept clean and maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations; ensure all services procedures comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards; calibrate, monitor and record temperature of cold rooM/Freezer;
- Perform stock control, including rotation, ordering and quality checking; approve invoices in accordance with delegation authority and budget;
- Ensure Accreditation Standards are met in all hospitality areas; report on non-compliance and incidents; assist in implementing action plans to rectify non-compliance;
- Supervise, train and mentor a committed team of hospitality and cleaning staff, ensuring daily tasks are maintained according to operational guidelines.

Remuneration for this role is $27.14 - $27.66 per hour commensurate with experience.

**About You**

In order to be successful in this role, your experience and qualifications should include:

- Chef trade qualification or equivalent experience;
- Applied knowledge of catering, cleaning and laundry procedures including cooking texture modified meals and thickened fluids;
- Solid experience as a commercial cook, working in a hygiene-controlled environment;
- Experience in the Aged Care industry is preferable but not essential as we will provide you with training to succeed in this role;
- Practical knowledge of legislation relevant to hospitality services including demonstrated experience of operational achievement of accreditation standards;
- A friendly and outgoing personality with strong focus on customer service and satisfaction;
- Have or can obtain a current National Police Certificate.
