**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
The Human Resources team is responsible for the delivery of end to end support to Council's employees and leaders across human resources, employee and industrial relations, and organisation development.
We have an exciting opportunity within our Human Resources Team for a dynamic Human Resources Advisor who is dedicated to providing best practice HR services to support the organisation in effectively assisting with the management of our people, achieving positive business outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement and providing excellence in our service delivery.
Reporting to the Coordinator Human Resources, this role works closely in partnership with stakeholders across the organisation to provide support and advisory services across recruitment and selection, performance management, industrial relations and organisational change. This role is also responsible for leading and delivering various Human Resources related projects and events throughout the year.
The successful applicant will require:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline
- Significant experience working in a Human Resources generalist environment
- Sound knowledge of industrial relations legislation and best practice
- Ability to interpret legislation and Awards/Agreements in an effective manner
- Capability to identify, analyse and resolve problems
- Computer literacy, particularly in the MS Office Suite and HR Information Systems
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills including strong negotiation skills
- Demonstrated abilities in building relationships with a wide range of people at all levels of an organisation
- Proven ability to work productively as a member of a team and contribute to team goals
- Current driver's licence.

**Position information**: This is a permanent, full-time position, working a 70 hour fortnight, with access to Council's 9 day fortnight Accrued Day Off (ADO) arrangement.
This role is predominantly located at Council's Merrylands and Auburn offices, with occasional travel required across Council worksites, and may be required to work across any of Council's work locations.
**Salary information**: The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with the NSW Local Government (State) Award.
- Grade 11 of the Cumberland Salary Structure with a salary range of $82,409.08 to $94,770.52 per annum, plus 10% superannuation
- The commencing salary will be negotiated, taking into consideration the successful applicant's qualifications, skills and experience related to the role.
