Northrop Grumman Australia partners with the Royal Australian Air Force to provide through-life support for its fleet of C-27J Spartan Battlefield Airlifter aircraft. The C-27J complements the Australian Defence Force's existing Air Mobility fleet and provides airlift of people, equipment and supplies in Australia and our region.
Our Subcontracts team is now seeking a highly motivated and professional Subcontracts Administrator to assist the C-27J Enterprise Supply Chain team.
Your Role:
As a member of the subcontracts team you will prepare bid packages, analysis and evaluation of proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions and selecting or recommending subcontractors.
Along with negotiating with vendors, you will also be managing expectations with suppliers, variation proposals and additional work task orders as required.
You will also be responsible for the maintaining compliance in accordance with company policy requirements for accurate, objective, traceable and complete records and providing objective and factual advice to functional teams on supplier/subcontract issues.
To be successful you must possess:
- Relevant qualification in law, business and/or logistics/procurement or suitable experience in a similar industry
- A member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (desirable).
- Demonstrated experience in a subcontract administration role within a complex capital asset environment (AUSDEFCON experience desired).
- Demonstrated strength in negotiation, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong computer literacy including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Must be an Australian citizen able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security clearance
